Gaza & the Holocaust: A Comparison
The Israeli Government has not allowed international journalists into Gaza, despite the Israeli Supreme Court's ruling that they are to be allowed in. Therefore, it is our responsibility to ensure that you see the few images that have made it out of Gaza. The world must see the true face of Israel.
Compare the photos on the left from the Nazi regime to the photos on the right from the Israeli regime in Palestine. You’ll find the pictures in black & white in most American and other western countries history books, encyclopedias, libraries, museums. One, for instance, depicts a young Jewish boy with his hands up while Nazi troops point their guns at him and his family in order to expel them from their homes. They make you sympathize with the victims and support their cause for justice and a homeland. What you won’t find are the pictures in color; the Israelis practice the same tactics…

What this side-by-side comparison of Israel with Nazi Germany misses is the following:
- The Nazis were being cruel against a defenseless people (the Jewish people) who never fired a shot at their tormentors.
- The Israelis are being cruel against a people (the Palestinians) that have kidnapped planes, produced suicide bombers to kill innocent people, that continue to this day to destroy Lebanon, that massacred thousands and thousands of Lebanese Christians who sheltered them as refugees, that committed the Damour massacres, and that are by far more more racist and religious fanatics than the Israelis themselves.
So your side-by-side comparison, while visually alluring, is in fact fake in its substance.
By the way, I am a Lebanese and I despise both the State of Israel and all the Arab States.

What Robert Fisk, certainly NOT a pro-israeli thinks about this comparison:

Warning Strong Pictures
These are the pictures you will see, only, in Lebanese newspapers tomorrow. yes, too strong & maybe non-postable for ethical reasons, but what is going on in Lebanon has gone beyond any ethics in any worldwide dictionary. This is what the Israeli raids are doing to my country, to my people. This is what they will keep on doing, under the pretext of "self-defense". Those are the terrorists who scared Ehud Olmert. A moment of silence, a prayer and a call for all those who care still about humanity to wake up!!
I find your comparison between the Gaza war and the Holocaust baseless, manipulative and counterproductive.
Putting together pictures of both event next to each others is intended to give the viewer the impression that both crimes are similare (or even identical). This is ridiculous. Most people who are slightly familiar with what the holocaust represents will not only reject such comparison but will discard all news that have to to with Gaza because they will think it's part of the same manipulative approach that they have seen here.
What happened (and is still happening) in Gaza speaks for itself. It is shocking for what it is. Get the facts and the figures right and they will speak for themselves. Delving into dubious comparions and analogies will only discredit you and damage the cause of Palestinians in general and Gazans in particular.

Mind you, one of the pictures (the one with the policeman on a horse) is from the Israeli withdrawal from one of the settlements (Amona) where the police hit jewish settlers real bad.
It's nice to know you just googled for pictures of the Israeli police without any connection - you could have shown pictures from the pope's visit to Israel from a few years back, pictures of the Simpsons visiting Israel or even picture of arab israelis rioting in Acre last year - It doesn't have to make sense.
