I was so stunned when I passed by my friend's home and saw this plastered on a wall, close to a mosque in my home town, Saida, that i rushed back home grabed my camera...
This is one three other on the same theme. They are plastered all around this mosque ( Bilal's mosque close to KFC in Hilaleieh for those of you who know Saida)

Here is another one of the damned things.

This is another place where I found the same posters. This is the wall of the mosque; you can see it in the background. Notice what is written on the side of the posters! Yes it is the entrance of "Al jinan's" children crèche. And they wonder how people can become suicide bombers!!!

I wish it was a joke...
However in Saida we always suffered from the yoke of these people ( Jama Islamiah and the lot) In Saida no supermarket or restaurant sell or offer is alcohol, under threat of being blown off ( one or two months ago a small shop was blown up because it sold alcohol…)
What is next? Maybe not allowing women to go out in skirts…

This is not a problem at all.
If it was a problem it would be on the agenda in the National dialogue.

We only started hearing of Hizbu Tahrir when Omar Bakri returned back to the Lebanon from the UK.

On the otherhand, Saida is not the only city suffering from those "jokes". Tripoli to a much farther extent is suffering from that. The KFC, Pizza Hut were blown. Years ago all the shops selling alcohols were blown. An Italian pantomime group was attacked last Ramadan in Bab Al Ramel during one of their performances. Starbucks was closed in Tripoli. Spinneys was also blown up. I hear now you have to park 10 minutes away from Spineys. Also I heard that Roadster wanted to open a branch in Tripoli and they immediately got threats. Those radicals are really affecting our lives and the problem no one is complaining about them. Its been going on for at least the past ten years as far as I know. The government should tackle this problem. It should be the only Law maker and enforcer in Lebanon.

No comment indeed!

I just sent these pics to a few coworkers and friends (min ba3d iznak, Bob), and one of them (a Sunni from Saida) replied with: So...?

I replied back: So… nothing! Just that the world is going crazy!! Inno WILAYIT Lubnan?? Dawlat al khilafa al rashida??????

Him: That’s what u think.

Me: (noncommitally, wondering where this is heading) :|:|:|

Him: Ma heek asdi, bas asdi if u read the past no need to worry this doesn’t mean to eliminate the others. We will discuss it later on.

Yey, can't wait for the 'discussion'.
