Eve ,

this article by you is angelful ,i really like it and this time you let me fly to sky ,the lebanese sky, meanwhile i was watching Titanic .

very good article by you.my words cannot express how much this article is strong.i am so proud you are lebanese .

NOW LIMINIAL ,

I WAS READING ONE ARTICLE WRITING BY YOU AND IT SEEMS I AM GOING TO ASK YOU TO CANCEL MY SUBSCIPTION WITH YOUR BLOG .I AM VERY SORRY BUT SOMETIMES I DO NOT WANT TO SHARE MY PATRIOT FEELING WITH ANYONE WHO COULD NOT RESPECT THE LEBANESE MISERY.WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A BLACK BLOODY CRISIS AND WE FEEL THAT SO MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE DIED BECAUSE OF THE SYRIAN REGIME .

DID YOU WRITE THE BELOW ARTICLE,I HAVE COPIED A PART OF IT.PLEASE ANSWER ME :

So, there's no word yet from the friend that was injured in the explosion. I'll try to ask my sister about him soon. I hope he is fine, though. Otherwise...jury is still out about who did it. I came strong with an opinion when it first happened. And yea, I still hold to it, but I have more doubt. One reason is I think, "WHY would Syria do such a thing?" Besides obviously wanting to maintain economic control of Lebanon...Another thing is many people could have predicted the intense anti-Syria reaction to such an event. So, it could have been done as a political ploy by many different parties. I'm going to hold off a bit more and try to chill-out about conclusions for a bit longer. I'll come back with a more refined opinion soon. Peace, LIM

Thanks

I agree, the Syrians must go. And I am as patriotic as you are if you just give me the chance to explain. If you don't have such patience, then I am sorry.

Please try to understand.

I love your post Eve...amazing.

MY REASONING IS THE FOLLOWING:

YES I WROTE THOSE THINGS. I am a part of the "WE" you speak of, don't forget. I am sick of Lebanon being used as a battle-ground for other countries' political aims. Aren't you? If you aren't then you're not Lebanese. My family suffered greatly because of the war, so do not question my patriotism. I was protesting the Syrian presence over a year ago online. So, please...you haven't even given this forum a chance Z. And I realize these are emotional times for you....but they're emotional for me, too. Why do you think I even created it ? It is for all Lebanese. It is for you. It is for anybody that has a voice online and wants it heard in concert with other Lebanese. And it's for us to share our happiness about Lebanon, not to bicker endlessly when we really are in agreement. All I was trying to say was that there are always people trying to take advantage of Lebanon, and that we must be wary of it and let people know we are aware of it. It is our awareness that will make sure the corruption ends and the people's wish for peace is heard. Do you not agree?

And do you have a friend that is in critical condition in the hospital because of this tragedy? Before Hariri's death I was wishing, dreaming for the Syrians to leave. Was he always doing the same? NO, he wasn't.

So either you chill out or cancel. It really doesn't matter to me. I am going to continue doing this whether you like it or not. I am doing this for Lebanon and all Lebanese, not for you alone.

Goodnight,
Liminal

PS.

AND IT DOESN'T WATER-DOWN MY FEELINGS OF GRIEF FOR THIS TERRIBLE TRAGEDY. SO MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE KILLED AND INJURED! AND, YES, HARIRI WAS A GREAT MAN. BUT HIS GREATNESS SHOULDN'T BE CONFUSED WITH WHEN HE WAS NOT GREAT WHILE HE SUPPORTED SYRIA'S PRESENCE.

DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN HE SUPPORTED SYRIA'S PRESENCE EVEN?

NOW LET US MOURN HIM PROPERLY. HE DID SO MUCH GREAT FOR LEBANON. A MAN LIKE HARIRI, YOU ONLY APPRECIATE HIM WHEN HE'S GONE. THAT IS ANOTHER SAD PART OF THIS. BEFORE HARIRI'S DEATH, PEOPLE WOULD COMPLAIN SO MUCH ABOUT HIM. NOW, THEY WISH HE WAS STILL ALIVE...

WHO ISN'T A HYPOCRITE?

ANYWAY, I GIVE MY GREATEST CONDOLENCES TO THE HARIRI FAMILY WITH THE GREATEST RESPECT.

SYRIA WILL LEAVE LEBANON NOW. THAT IS MY PREDICTION...MARK MY WORD. THEY HAVE TO LEAVE LEBANON NOW.

Hello ZouNazar and Liminal,
First thx for liking my article.
But what you are talking about will lead nowhere but to dismantling this blog. I wish we do NOT transform this blog into a political one where everyone shares his own partisan beliefs, because, in the end, each one has a different opinion. Picture it as representing our small country online. We have watched in real life how differences in opinion have led us to eradicating each other. So, let's not do that here, and learn to respect each other. I know by experience that is always safe in Lebanese communities and forums like that not to discuss politics this way. Personally, I don't appreciate ZouNazar leaving like that, regardless of the reason. So you guys better work it out, or you would have proven my article to be meaningless!!

I was writing my comment when liminal messenger window pop up in the middle of my screen. So we had a brief chat and yes I changed my comment and here down the balance.

LIMINAL,

Thank you for your reply .if you remember that I did send an email to you asking for the policy of your blog.

It seems we all agree that Lebanon has many enemies and one of them is Syria.

........

Despite Hariri behavior and supporting Syrian presence, the Lebanese people are very stubborn people; the Muslims Lebanese took 30 years to convince the Christians Lebanese that Israel is an enemy and another 30 years for the Christians Lebanese to convince the Muslims Lebanese that Syria is an enemy.

I am happy that finally this internal fight has settle down between the Lebanese.

........

The last week I was listening and reading to all kinds of excuses in all type of forum on the net, Syrians Baathists were so convinced that Israel or USA did kill Hariri, why?? Because the massacre showed the real face of the Syrian regime.

.....

Anyway, I am besides your thoughts about Lebanon, your efforts are very appreciated .WE are Lebanon.

REMEMBER IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO PUSH THE TRIGGER, it matters WHO PAY THE MONEY.
