system reset

ok guys.
Now that everyone has expressed their feelings and their reactions to other people's feelings and to some more people's reactions and feelings, I suggest that the next course of action be total amnesia.

I have met most of the LBFers by now and I know that none of you are really enjoying what is taking place on the forum right now in terms of the way we're dealing with each other. This is supposed to be a place that brings us together despite our differences. In fact it is our different interests and views that make this place worth visiting and being part of (end of lecture).

so let's just forget about all the negative vibes of 2006 (I'm sure we can all agree that it was a terrible terrible year on so many levels), and just open a new page for 2007.

let's try the amnesia thing. I bear full responsibility for what might come out of it. yes? good :)

starting right now. this was your moment of zen.

Problem of what we saw currently is exactly what is happening in Lebanon. What is happening in Lebanon is because the politicians of both camps want to impose amnesia on the history of Lebanon and re-write it to suit their own.

But if the amnesia to be applied at the forums only, good luck :)

Yallah, shove the problem under the rug.

PS I am not sure what the prob. is, though some things stunk on LBF last year.

I don't agree on the forgetting part, however I agree on the forgiving part.

Past should be learned from.

So if forgetting is in the sense of stop using it against each other everytime something comes up, then I guess "Forget And Forgive" like Iron Maiden said it :D

I totally I agree with liliane and MFL on this point. Forgetting is not healthy for conflict resolution. We should be brave enough to discuss everything happened in the past.
However, forgiving is important.
This is what I do also on the personal level.

give us Lebanese any positive sentence, we'll still find a way to argue about it.

it's like our national sport or something.

Perhaps we should wipe it out over the next LBF meeting which includes a lot of booz?

booz will either make people shoot each other or love each other :)

In any case even though I am in Beirut, I cannot attend

I think you're right, Laila. This will be my last comment in this forum, and I'll just use amnesia, and walk out.
See you in your blogs, friends :)

Well as a computer scientist, and as Leila said "system reset", if you don't solve the problem first, and reset the system, it will produce the error all the time :p

MFL, well I guess the right amount of liquor would do the job, a bit less or a bit more, kaweriss!

Problem little for me is relative, I am a heavy drinker :P
