Breaking news: Lebanese Civilian Shot

Charbel Ghanem, 18, was shot dead while protesting in Martyrs' Square Saifi, he is apparently being treated at Hotel Dieu hospital. Armed men shot him from a moving vehicle, carrying partisan flags. The details remain vague, I will update as soon as I learn more.

Our prayers are with Charbel and his family, and may God preserve our Lebanon from these traitors.

future and lbc didnt say that. They said it was at saify... two cars with political flags passed by each other, got on each others nerves, started shooting, and charbel ghanem was injured. not killed.

this is sad....

Charbel's own account of the incident was broadcast on TV.
He said the following:
- he was in a car carrying the Lebanese flag and the flag of the Lebanese Forces (owwet)
- a second car (an SUV) with flags of harakit amal gave chase and started driving intimidatingly
- a man in the SUV fired from the car using a pistol and the bullet hit Charbel's side.

On another note, the TV News also reported other similar incidents (with pictures of cars with bullet holes) but nobody was injured thankfully in the other cases.
