Sorry Del. This not directed at you. But I think I've just about had it with petitions. I've signed all the ones I've received so far, maybe this last one too. Well guess what, typing 10000 names on a list isn't gonna change anything. I don't know what will, but I'm tired of guilt-flanked statements like "if you care about freedom of speech, justice, liberty, sign..". I DO care about justice and freedom of speech, go figure. I DO NOT care about making me feel like I did something wrong for not doing something utterly useless. And you know what, it's all about going easy on our conscience. Kinda like, I signed the petition, I did my part. Well, no I did not do my part. Until I do, until I go out there and really try to make a change, I refuse to sign a petition and give myself an easy excuse. Sorry for the diatribe.

I agree with you 100%.

So what are you waiting for? Just go out there and try to really make a change instead of just ranting and raving about it.

Again my dear delirious, this was by no means directed at you or the fact that you posted this link. I wish I knew what to do, and how to do it. Maybe some day I will. I just feel like "3am nidda7ak 3ala 7alna". No one cared about petitions when the streets of Beirut were flooded with people on the 14th. Things happened then, but nothing is happening anymore. We're back to waiting for the truth and watching new episodes of the lebanese political tragicomedy.
Kassir deserves more than a minute of silence, and freedom of speech needs to be protected by all possible means. This is important to all of us. But it isn't where the core of our problems lies.

I am just voicing my frustration del. Just letting some of it out. I wish I could do more than just rave and rant, from where I am. I really do. I didn't mean to upset you, and if I did, I apologize.

TC...no need to apologize. I really wasn't upset. I understand perfectly what you mean. Don't let me start ranting and raving myself!

It's up to you whether or not you want to sign the petition. It always was.
