IDF: "The egyptian ship was brought down by a missile from the Lebanese port, not from an Israeli ship"

hilal, you're so funny.

"For sure it was hit by Israeli fire"??

Explain that one, why don't you? Give me one good reason why Israel would want to hit an Egyptian boat?

The fact is that Iran was helping Hezballah hit Israeli ships and they missed. They are the only ones firing missles at ships, remember..

Don't be a dumb-ass...

And my point still stands...

Israel is not firing missles aimed at ships, Hilal...

Only Hezballah is...

So the conclusion that the Israelis are the ones who hit the Egyptian ship just simply make no sense. Think about it..

If you guys want to ban me for speaking the truth, then that is your perogative. But believeing that Israel would fire a anti-ship missle from their own ships at a ship from Egypt is just silly.

I don't mean to be offensive, but the knee-jerk anti-Israeli attitude I see her is most aggrevating. At least admit that Israel could be doing a heck of a lot more damage than they are. They COULD be slaughthering hundreds of thousands with the carpet bombing of Beirut, if the they wanted to. But they don't want to do that.

Instead they drop leaflets to warn innocent Lebanese where to avoid when strikes are coming. And the last thing they want is to get Egypt involved.

It seems obvious to me that Hezballah, with help from Iran, is the only one firing the anti-ship missles at this point. Iran purchased them from China after the 1991 Gulf War and Iran is now helping Hezballah use them. It's no wonder that one missed the intended Israeli target now that the IAF has taken out most of Lebanon's sea radar installations that they depend on for accuracy.

Read up on the C-802 that hit the Israeli ship at the following link and you'll see how easily this mistake could have happened. At the end of the flight, referred to as the terminal phase, these missles use an on-board radar mechanism to lock onto the target and guide themselves into the target. This one simply locked onto the wrong vessel.

“in war, some mistakes happen, mojoski.”

My point exactly:
1) We are on war (you said).
2) Some mistakes happen…like civilians getting killed.
Interesting that bombing Egyptian ship, kidnapping solders and bombing north Israel by HA are just mistakes and all Israeli actions is a terrible act off war. I don’t expect you to be objective but came on, it is easy to blame Israeli for everything but there is more sides to this matter.

And what makes you think that Israel hit these innocent people on purpose?

You really have drunk the antisemite kool-aid, marwa? I'm sure Israel just killed those innocent children because they knew it would help get the world's opinion on their side. Or maybe it was all for the collection of blood for some pastries or something?

Your level of delusion amazed me. How sad that you would really believe such a thing.

Aww.. someone removed Marwa's insane comment. What a shame. I think people like that should be allowed to spew their insanity freely so the rest of us can see just how crazy they are.

For the record, what Marwan had said was: "Israel bombing 23 Lebanese innocents, among them children and elderly, WHILST THEY SEE THEM FLEEING fearing for there lives! And then Mojoski, you demand a reason why they would want to hit an Egyptian boat? They're firing everywhere else - places where Hizballa are not even associated with. Don't be a dumb a**."

Just in case she was the one who deleted it..

And then Mojoski, you demand a reason why they would want to hit an Egyptian boat? REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THEY DID IT OR NOT, don't be stupid and pose this question and even attempt to defend Israel's concern for innocents, in this instance, the Egyptians. They're firing everywhere else - places where Hizballah are not even associated with... Batroun, Jounieh, half of Beirut - and they are too concerned for these innocent Egyptians? They are so humane aren't they, Mojoski. "Don't be a dumb ass."

Ah, my comment is insane is it? At least it's not as insane and inhumane as Israel.

Ah yes, Mojoski. They don't kill purposefully when they fire.

Why is Israel firing Northern Lebanon where it is known Hizballah is non-existant - if this is truly a war against Hizballah?
I do not support Israel nor do I support Hizballah. I support peace and the right to LIFE.
Long live LEBANON.

Marwa, if you support Peace then you should be calling for the end of Hezballah. We all know what they want, and the war they want has been brought down on the poor people of Lebanon. Until Lebanese take control of their own lands and stop the Hezballah attacks on Israel, there will be no peace.

Olga.

The ratio is 1 Israeli killed for 20 Lebanese.

How do you call that?

marwa,

We are not playing game “who suffer more”. And it is not an eye for an eye thing. We go after Hezbollah by all means necessary. If they choose to hide behind the civilians it means that, they cowards and civilians will get hurt. Israel has enough power to wipe Lebanon from earth with all the civilians and HA together within one night. We are choosing not to do that because it’s evil and wrong. HA on the other hand, targets civilians on purpose, and if it had the power to exterminate Israel, it would do so without thinking twice. I am not ashamed that my country has a powerful army. Otherwise there wouldn’t be Israel by now.
When 2 solders kidnapped, and one country start bombing another it’s an act of war.
So, to your question, how I call it?
I call it the price you pay when you provoke and drag somebody much more powerful than you into meaningless war without any reason.

At Sunday, July 16, 2006 11:40:00 AM, Blogger Marwa said...

Do you really expect me to believe this is only about the 2 soldiers?

Can you tell me why they kidnapped the 2 soldiers dear Olga?

P.S. Why is it exactly that you sent me the above link :S

Who's provoking who?

At Sunday, July 16, 2006 12:29:00 PM, Blogger Olga said...

I don’t know why they kidnapped the solders. You should ask HA. But what I know for sure is that before it happened nobody was bombing Lebanon.

And of course it’s not only about 2 solders. It’s about terrorist organization that bombing Israel from Lebanon. If it is official Lebanon policy than we are or war, and you shouldn’t be surprised that Lebanon is being bombed, and people are getting killed. If it’s not, Lebanon army should be the one to stop the shootings. Apparently, it doesn’t going to happen for; I don’t know and don’t care what reasons. If Lebanon can’t control an armed fundamental organization on her territory than Israel will.
