It is childish.

I get the feeling that the military campaign isn't being run by the brightest people.

Almost?

It IS childish.

That's what happens when one has too much time and weapons on one's hands, and idiots (world leaders) in one's pockets.

maybe they think we are like children that is why they talk to us like children...
and sometimes we do act like children and lose touch with reality, and act with out thinking about the consquences of our actions, like children do...

Although the style of the flier is a bit simplistic, the point [heh] is pretty clear. In the style of the better political cartoons, it pictorially comments on current affairs. In this case, it used the parable of the scorpion and the frog.

In effect, the rest of Lebanon had made a deal with Hezbollah. It transfered a portion of its government authority to Hezbollah: the authority to maintain an army, the authority to make deals with foreign governments, and, perhaps most to the point, the authority to start a war.

And, now, all of Lebanon is paying for the deal. True, the parts of Lebanon paying the worst are those most in bed with Hezbollah, but all of Lebanon is being used, in part, as a human shield.

You are part of the problem, Lebanese. You gave away to Hezbollah some of your rights. Fix the problem, Lebanese. Take back what is yours, and have peace with your southern neighbor.

Or not. The main choice is yours.
