REMINDER: Lebanese Bloggers in North America Meeting
The Lebanese Bloggers in North America Network, LeBNAN (a made-on-the-spot organization), will be having its first-ever meeting TOMORROW, Saturday, October 7 in the "Heart of the Empire", the gorgeous, self-absorbed, maddeningly hip New York City!
We will be meeting for an iftar/dinner at Byblos restaurant. They promised our lovely NYC rep, Mirvat, who arranged the reservations there, lentil soup and amareddine. Iftar is around 6:30, so we’re aiming at getting there at 5:30. (Mirvat says, "But I’m sure we're all going to be late.") The singing and belly dancer part isn't till later (11:30), so we're good. Byblos is at 200 East 39th Street. Their phone number, in case you can't find it, is 212-687-0808.
Some of us will be getting together earlier; on the table so far are a trip to the Guggenheim to see the Zaha Hadid exhibit, and a mini-AUB pre/med reunion (as well as whatever Mirvat is cooking…). If you still don't have a place to stay, e-mail the lovely Mirvat, or Hashem who’s still looking for a place to share with someone. (You can find the e-mail addresses in the Members page of our Yahoo! group; if you’re not a part of it, join now!)
We hope to see you there!
