First Lebanese Meetup!
Yalla guys, due to the general demands, we will have a meeting for Lebanese bloggers, the following weekend. I believe it will suit everybody if we held it in Downtown Beirut. Anyone who is interested in attending, please sign up your name in the comment section. As for further details, email me at this address: happiestlight (at) yahoo (dot) com

Great, so why don't you post the co-ordination info here, for all to see:

Thanks,
Thinkingman... thanks for the effort, but I think we're blowing this a little bit out of proportion... I don't know about the rest of you, but I was hoping more for a get-to-know-one-another sort of thing... No media, no agenda, no follow-ups... Just people who have a thing in common getting to know each other in RL.
Tman, your ideas are very interesting, and definitely should be discussed, but they are less social activity (which was, at least for me, the intention behind this suggestion) and more activism...
Count me in too...
Prefer Beirut, Byblos would be ok I guess.
Prefer late afternoon.
Double espresso and a large jug of ice-cold water is a must!
Let's do this!
This week is really, really, really bad for me. But this weekend, ie after the 27 May, is perfect.
I don't have a car, so getting to Jbeil is a problem. But anywhere in Beirut is great.
If you haven't been here in a while, you need to check out Gemayze.
However, Tribeca - the bagel shop on Abdul Wahab and Monnot - might be a good option.
We might also be able to commandeer the space in Olive (organic live), a health food shop on Abdul Wahab.
Too bad the tents have been taken down, because Sa7et Shuhada would have been symbolic and would have allowed us to meet in a non-commercial location.
Hey guys,
here for the first time.
How can I add my blog to the list? I'm in the states right now so can't join your meeting,
good luck and well done.

Ya hala feek Abu Takla,
you've been added to the list of Lebanese blogs as you can see. Too bad you can't make it to the meeting, but hopefully next time.

The meeting will indeed be after May 27, and in Beirut as I have mentioned, since not everybody can make it to Byblos. I'll update after checking with everyone.
OK, maybe i got over-excited about the meeting because I see it a stepping stone of some sort; but please keep us updated. Perhaps, activism is a bit of a strong word, (am not with any party), I think "purpose" is more appropriate.
I am interested in the "purpose" that we/you all have in blogging. That purpose might lead to some actions or not, but "activism" is not the objective.
Wish I can be with you guys. Shrabo kaes il ghaybeen. Cheers.
Don't worry Firas, I will have a double espress for you. :)
